I was strolling through the aisles of At Home on Saturday when inspiration hit me in the pillow aisle. I stood there with a crazed look on my face for a minute before I said out loud to absolutely no one, "OH SNAP!" before ditching my cart (sorry, At Home employees).
I ran to Michaels and snatched up a bunch of canvases and headed home and tried to explain to my husband what was in my head... poor thing tried to be supportive but I could tell he had no idea what I was talking about. So then I texted Allison (the other half of Socialfare) and basically told her I had a great idea but I can't explain it and you get no details, so forget I said anything.
Thus, this series was born. I've had a few restaurants interested in art for their walls so I was trying to figure out how to make a photograph look like fine art. I'm going to do a behind-the-scenes post soon about the process so I won't give too many details but it has been so much fun and there are a BUNCH more coming!
I am selling prints on Etsy if you'd like to update your kitchen decor! If you don't see something you want yet, keep checking back. All kinds of food & color are coming!
I am super excited about offering this as an option to our restaurants. I'd love to shoot with their own food on custom painted backgrounds so that it's more personal.
If you have any ideas for something you want to see, just shoot me an email and I'll see what I can make happen :)
